ORION PONTI is a range of extremely sturdy bituminous waterproofing membranes characterized by outstanding thread resistance. Thanks to their excellent mechanical properties and temperature resistance ORION PONTI membranes are ideally suited for installation in areas of high traffic and are certified according to stringent EN 14695:2010 regulation.

ORION PONTI membranes employ a distilled bitumen compound modified with selected elasto-plastomeric polymers and atactic polypropylene; The excellent quality is highlighted by two indicators: low temperature flexibility (-15° C) and flow resistance high temperature (130° C). These parameters positively affect resistance to thermal ageing and increase the service life of the waterproofing system.

Membranes with high resistance to thermal ageing and excellent flow resistance at high temperatures are applicable in any climatic zone, but are particularly suited to Countries with warm climates. Excellent cold flexibility enables easy adaptation of the membrane during installation, an important feature in areas characterized by harsh climates. This compound maintains its peculiar characteristics even after asphalt paving.

The Reinforcement employed in ORION PONTI membranes consists in a heavy-duty rot-proof spunbond non-woven polyester fabric reinforced with glass fiber. These membranes provide very high performance and avoid surface shrinkage even in case of high thermal and mechanical strains or when subjected to heavy road traffic (EN 14695). Reinforcements with high mechanical properties, tensile strength and tear resistance characterize membranes having the ability to absorb high levels of stress caused by structural movements of the construction (EN 13707), they can be installed employing mechanical fasteners and laid in areas exposed to very strong winds, easily withstanding both foot traffic and static weights.
