GALAXY PONTI is a range of extremely sturdy bituminous waterproofing membranes characterized by extraordinary thread resistance. Thanks to their outstanding mechanical properties and temperature resistance GALAXY PONTI membranes are ideally suited for installation in areas of high traffic and are certified according to stringent EN 14695:2010 regulation.


GALAXY PONTI membranes employ a distilled bitumen compound modified with an extremely high quantity of Amorphous Poly-Alpha-Olefins (APAO). These particular elasto-thermoplastic polymers are composed by an ethylene-propylene-1-butene terpolymer that affords high bitumen compatibility. The excellent quality of this range of membranes is highlighted by three indicators: thermal ageing resistance, a level of low temperature flexibility (-25°C) normally associated only with the best SBS compounds and flow resistance at high temperature values (140°C) that no SBS compound will ever be able to attain.

The extraordinary resistance to thermal ageing of the compound employed by GALAXY PONTI determines asharp increase in the service life of the waterproofing system. GALAXY PONTI membranes can be used in any climatic zone. The excellent low temperature flexibility of these membranes ensures pliability and adaptability of the membranes and guarantees great ease of application. This compound, due to its specific formula, has remarkable non-ageing characteristics and retains its performance even after the application of asphalt.

The reinforcement used in GALAXY PONTI consists of a non-woven polyester fibre and very heavy-weight fabric, stabilized with glass and rot-proof These membranes provide very high performance and avoid water surface shrinkage even in case of roofing subjected to high thermal and mechanical stresses, as well as to heavy traffic (UNI EN 14695).

Reinforcement with high mechanical properties, tensile strength and tear resistance characterize membranes having the ability to absorb high stress due to structural movement, (UNI EN 13707), they can be installed with mechanical fasteners even in areas exposed to strong winds and withstand both foot traffic and static weights.
