The ORION LIGHT membrane innovative compound, through the use of selected new generation raw materials and high efficiency mixers, allows to obtain a bituminous APP membrane with low specific gravity. This revolutionary compound allows to obtain a bitumen-polymer with greater quality than traditional products, resulting in improved service life over time. The weight-to-thickness ratio is completely different when compared to traditional membranes; considering a 4 mm roller it is possible to get a weight reduction of approximately 40%. Nevertheless the products with low specific gravity maintain good cold flexibility (-15°C) and thermal shape stability (130°C) which make them suitable in any climatic zones with easy adaptability of the membrane during installation. This compound, thanks to its special formula, has a good behaviour against UV rays ageing and provides excellent walkability during application, essential properties on "exposed surface roofing", where even the appearance must be impeccable.

The reinforcement used in ORION LIGHT range membranes consists of a non-woven polyester fibre and medium-weight fabric, stabilized with glass and rot-proof. The membranes, with excellent dimensional stability, ensure high performance and avoid waterproof surface shrinkage, even in case of roofing subjected to high thermal stresses. This reinforcement type has excellent mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, elongation at break and tear strength that characterize membranes with significant ability to absorb high stresses due to structural movements, to be laid with mechanical fasteners even in areas exposed to strong winds, withstand foot traffic and static weights.
