The GEMMA RAME membrane compound consists of a distilled modified bitumen mixture with very high content of thermoplastic elastomers such as styrene-butadiene-styrene (SBS) and its excellent quality is mainly highlighted by two indicators: cold flexibility (-25° C) and elasticity (2000% elongation at break). These two parameters positively affect both resistance to thermal ageing and resistance to cracking of the waterproofing system, with increased service life of roofing. Produced with high resistance to cracking they are applicable in any climatic zone and on highly stressed roofing. The excellent cold flexibility allows easy adaptability during installation, which is an important feature in areas characterized by harsh climate. The metallic self-protection avoids direct exposure to UV rays that, otherwise, would be able to attack and deteriorate the compound.

The reinforcement used in GEMMA RAME membranes consists of reinforced and rot-proof glass fibre, which provides excellent dimensional stability to the membrane, such as to avoid unsightly wrinkles and folds on the waterproofing surface.
