GEMINI BIARMATO are a range of bituminous waterproofing membranes featuring a double reinforcement that offers excellent tread resistance. The particular compound employed in GEMINI BIARMATO is not affected by UV ageing and allows the membranes to be employed as top layer in fully exposed roofing systems.


GEMINI BIARMATO employs a compound consisting in distilled bitumen modified with elasto-plastomeric polymers and atactic polypropylene; its excellent quality is highlighted by three indicators: cold flexibility (-10 ° C), high temperature flow resistance (120 ° C) and dimensional stability (± 0.1%). These parameters positively affect resistance to thermal ageing by increasing the service life of the roofing system.

Membranes with high resistance to thermal ageing and excellent flow resistance at high temperatures aresuited to any climate, and particularly to areas with warm climates where a thermally-insulated roofing system is required.

Good cold flexibility enables ease of application of the membrane, which is an important feature in areas characterized by harsh climates. This compound, thanks to its special formula, features an excellent behavior against UV ray ageing and allows the membrane to be walked on during application.

The peculiar properties of GEMINI BIARMATO allow this membrane to be used on exposed roofs.

The reinforcement employed in GEMINI BIARMATO membranes consists in a spunbond non-woven polyester fabric coupled to reinforced glass fiber. Thanks to its excellent dimensional stability GEMINI BIARMATO ensures high performance and avoids shrinkage of the waterproofing surface, while the good mechanical properties (tensile strength and elongation, tear resistance and absolute dimensional stability) allow it to absorb great levels of strain caused by structural movements of the building. GEMINI BIARMATO can be applied with bituminous cold glues (GENERAL GLUE type) or laid with mechanical fasteners in areas exposed to strong winds and withstand both pedestrian traffic and static weights.
